A Glimpse Inside The Mind Of The Artist…

Xanabel is a trans-femme artist representing the LGBTQAI community in Tucson, AZ. Xanabel moved here in 1998 and she started her career decades ago through the encouragement of her mother, Heather. She has been creating art and sewing for most of her childhood and adult life. Most of her work for sale on this site was started after attending therapy over the course of four years with a lovely woman who moved to Spain and quit being a therapist to become an artist herself, inspired by Xanabel’s journey.

Xanabel is a radical who expresses her feelings often about political and social topics through her work. She is a meme queen who enjoys riffling through what the internet has to offer and is full of pop culture knowledge. She is a loyal friend to many and has been with her current spouse, A.K., Since 2011. She has a dog, Smee and four pet rats: Belial (F), Morning Star (F), Leviathan (M), and Lucifer (M).

  • All of Xanabel’s life she has done art in one form or another. She has been interested in fashion as well since a very young age and even once designed a set of jeans for Kickwear and the design was bought up and produced by the company.

    It is her personal sigil that she signs all her pieces with and it is rumored that when she passes away it will be a way of summoning her as a demon cryptid to help bring artistic inspiration, a sort of demonic muse.
